ATHIRAH
KHAIRWAN

My art palette is mostly based on the intriguing fragments of surrealism and dark arts mostly because of the volatility it brings and also the hidden meanings that lie within them. It also has neither right nor wrong meaning to it, thus, giving my audiences the free will to interpret my artworks as one so choose and to the best of their ability. My art is mostly based out of my life experiences and issues relating to mostly family and women in general. The reason in doing so is because my art tends to be more genuine as it is what i experienced myself instead of creating art that i cannot possibly relate to. Speaking of women, i generally bring out important and controversial topics like femininity so that it raises awareness throughout the general public. In the process of creating such artworks, I am actually telling people about me as a person, but at the same time, telling others that there are those that hear and see them. Be it their pain, suffering, joy or way of life
